Welcome to my Race Site!
Since 2000 my goal has been to put on high quality races that provide donations to a well deserved group/charity. In addition, I want to bring as many people into the sports of running and walking as possible, for the health benefits and the social aspect of bringing people together for a positive activity.

Great races include certified courses, good venues, solid organization on race day, quality awards and good post race amenities. Organizations receiving money from Trekman Racing include the Red Cross, The United Way, Salvation Army, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Cedar Valley Trails organization, Hudson Schools Cross-Country team, American Cancer Society and the fund drive to build an all-weather track complex for the Hudson Community Schools. In 2008 The Black Hawk County Family and Children's Council and Iowa's Team RunAblaze will be the recipients of the annual donation from the Park to Park races, the Hudson Cross Country team will beneift from the Pump and Run and the Salvation Army is supported from the Snow Shuffle.

2007 PARK TO PARK PRODUCED BIG NUMBERS. TWO NEW HALF MARATHON RECORDS, THE SECOND FASTEST TIME EVER RUN IN IOWA (AND THE 4TH FASTEST ALSO) BY A FEMALE AND A RECORD CROWD OF OVER 500 TOTAL PARTICPANTS. CHECK OUT THE PARK TO PARK PAGE AND RESULTS.

New for 2008 will be customized race bibs that have an entrants first name on the bib above the number, for those who enter early enough. The Fools 5k will be chip timed and cheer sections are being sought for Park to Park. Non-profit groups (church youth groups, high school cheerleaders etc.) can compete for cash donations. Live in Black Hawk County? A friend of mine, a runner and a Park to Park sponsor is running for Sheriff. His name is Tony Thompson and he has a great web site below. He will be at the Park to Park packet pick-up and will be running the half, as well. Plan to stop by and ask him questions or give him advice!

The Runners Flat is a new running specialty store located at 115 East 4th street in downtown Cedar Falls. Scott and Sarah Gall are two of the areas best runners and have a great store that will fit you right every time. Stop in and see what a specialty store is all about. They have partnered with Trekman Racing and will be bringing some great things to the race and training scene in 2007 and beyond.

Steve Burrell does more for road race sponsorship than anyone in the Cedar Valley. Not only is he a great sponsor but he is a great Realtor - we sold our house with Steve in 4 hours in 2005! Thank him when you see him at a race since he runs almost all of the Trekman races and use him for buying or selling a property.
